Ok, this list didn’t took a lot of time for research as any hardcore gamer or even a novice would know the most played video games of 2018. Games like PUBG and Fortnite came in through like a swarm and became one of the addictive games of 2018 and who knows how long does this go. This is the list of top 10 such video games where gamers spend most part of their day in:

According to reports Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground,

that eventually forces players into a shrinking play zone as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death. The designer of PUBG, Brendan Greene says that he got his inspiration from the film Japanese film “Battle Royale”. Some of the similarities to this game is the movie “The Hunger Games,” and other games such as “H1Z1: King of the Kill,” “DayZ” and etc. According to reports, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, reaching a new milestone. The following month, the game had its peak concurrent player count reach over 1.3 million, surpassing Dota 2‘s all-time record of 1.29 set in March 2016.

Fortnite has at least 45 million players and over 3 million concurrent users.

Overwatch assigns players into two teams of six, with each player selecting from a roster of over 20 characters, known in-game as “heroes”, each with a unique style of play, whose roles are divided into four general categories: Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. Players on a team work together to secure and defend control points on a map or escort a payload across the map in a limited amount of time. Players gain cosmetic rewards that do not affect gameplay, such as character skins and victory poses, as they play the game. The game was initially launched with casual play, with a competitive ranked mode, various ‘arcade’ game modes, and a player-customizable server browser subsequently included following its release. Overwatch is the eighth Activision Blizzard game to generate $1 billion in revenue, according to the publisher’s fiscal Q1 2017 financial statement. Blizzard t announced that hero-shooter Overwatch now has 35 million registered players on March 2017.

Grand Theft Auto Online, the game’s online multiplayer mode, lets up to 30 players engage in a variety of different cooperative and competitive game modes. GTA 5 has amassed over $6 billion in revenue, usurping the total revenue achieved by the likes of Star Wars and Gone with the Wind, which both pulled in around $3 billion each when adjusted for inflation.
