Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta-The Most Expensive Car in the World
Italian sports car manufacturer Pagani Automobile has debuted its new creation, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta, at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. With a price of £13.5 which is approximately ₹ 122 crore, the 800PS hyper car claims to be the most expensive car of this Generation.
It is an limited edition car with just three units made, the model showcased is currently owned by Pagani’s founder Horacio Pagani whereas the remaining two models that are yet to be made have already been pre-sold. The Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is based on the popular mid-engine Pagani Zonda, which was first created 19 years ago. The car is will not offer any kind of attachable or convertible top.
It has a top speed of 338kmph and is capable of the highest lateral acceleration ever seen on a car with road tires at 1.8 G. There is a cropped windshield and the body of the Pagani’s Zonda HP Barchetta hyper car is crafted from carbon fibre-titanium composite materials that contribute to car’s overall weight of 1250 kgs. The contrasting wheels too have an interesting pattern with the left-side wheels painted in silver while the right ones in blue.
Besides a hyper exciting design, the boutique hyper car gets an aggressive 7.3-litre Mercedes-AMG M120 V12 naturally aspirated engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a power-to-weight ratio of 640PS per ton and makes it capable of doing a 0-100kmph in just 3.1 seconds with a peak torque of about 1100 Nm.
The Interiors of the supercar continues with blue and cream upholstery, tartan accents and wooden inserts on the steering wheel. For decelerating this hyper car, the Italian car manufacturer has included 380mm ventilated discs with six-piston front calipers while the rear gets four-piston calipers. The suspension has an adjustable Ohlins shocks with anti-roll bar and double wishbone suspension, coil-spring upper rocker arm and the car has 20-inch front and 21-inch rear aluminum wheels.
